LNZ (pronounced L-N-Zed) was an online television network owned by LNZ Connect. It was launched on 6 June 2018 and closed down on 22 July 2019. LNZ focuses on general entertainment, news, and lifestyle programming. It was created by 15% of the staff for LDN that had either been fired or quit due to the voting controversy related to the TiBB Eurovision Song Contest 2018.
History[]
In June 2018, just days after the TiBB Eurovision Song Contest 2018; 15% of the staff working for LDN had been fired or had quit due to their part of the voting format controversy surrounding the contest. These now ex-employees created a channel to compete with TiBB Networks for the very first time.
The visual design for the channel uses a colour scheme of light neon green, light gray, and deep gray. The logo and idents would use these colours in alternating ways.
All employees of LNZ re-hired by TiBB Networks on 22 July 2019, effectively closing down the channel for good.
